Glass by Blake, hand-blown glass art, made by Blake Wingard.  I have been fascinated by the art of glassblowing for years.  I stated my love for glass art by collecting pendants and functionals from a few different artists.  After a couple of years, I decided to open to open an online gallery with all of the glass that I had collected so far, Heady Mountain Glass Gallery. After learning a lot and meeting some incredible people with the gallery, I decided to start blowing glass myself.  I had some incredible friends that I had met through the gallery that taught me everything I know and helped me to obtain the necessary equipment to blow glass on my own.  There are so many people that helped to create this dream I have, that I could not even start to name some names off. I have so much love and gratitude for every single one though!  Regardless, very quickly I became captivated with the borosilicate world and the community that makes it what it is.  I started this art as a hobby and without even realizing it, it became my life even more so than it was.  I am excited to wake up in the morning and go work, I love it.  I am so thankful to do what I love every single day.

Each piece comes out differently, which is awesome because it is constantly keeping me on my toes and constantly trying to push myself to do better. Trying new things is also fun because making something new and beautiful creates a feeling inside that is very hard to recreate.  I am open to any custom ideas that anyone may have, there is an area on the homepage where you can email me about any ideas that you may have that you think I might be able to have a little fun with.  All of my new work is posted on Instagram daily and sometimes there are a few auctions that go down, which is where you can find some work usually at a very discounted price.  Thank you for looking, thank you for reading, thank you for the support, thank you for everything, I love you all!
